What's the difference between a Start-up and a Small Business?

It comes down to where you are, not necessarily how big you are.

A start-up is typically a newer venture with less than 100 employees. You may still be raising capital, building your team, or validating your model. You need a brand that looks credible from day one and can grow with you as things move fast.

A small business is more established. Has less than 100 employees. You've been around, you have customers, and you know what you do. You may have outgrown a DIY logo or a brand that no longer reflects where you are. Both need great design, just at different stages and price points.

I've been in business for a few years. Am I a Start-up or a Small Business?

If you're past the "figuring it out" phase and have a stable customer base or revenue stream, you're likely a Small Business. Start-up pricing reflects an earlier stage where budgets are tighter and the brand is being built from nothing. What qualifies as an Enterprise?

We define enterprise as any large organization (more than 100 employees) with an established brand, an internal team, and an ongoing need for design output, not just a one-time project. This could be a mid-size company, a large corporation, a trade association, a conference organizer, or any team that regularly produces collateral and needs a reliable creative partner embedded in their workflow. If you have a marketing department, a brand standards guide, or a content calendar — you're probably enterprise.

We work in structured revision rounds — typically 2–3 per deliverable — and we're upfront about that from day one. Because we invest heavily in the brief and moodboard phases upfront, most clients find we get it right well before we run out of rounds.

Everything. You'll walk away with full-resolution files in every format you'll need, a brand guideline PDF, your complete digital asset library, and source files for every template we build. It's all yours.
